WARMER FLOORS – COSY HOME!
PHCS installs an under floor insulation system that keeps cold floors and draughts at bay whilst also making your home a much warmer place to be.
CUT THE FUEL BILLS!
Many park home residents complain about their homes being cold with particular mention of cold floors and draughts. What generally happens is that the thermostat gets put up to increase heat output but as heat rises this still only helps upper body warmth and not the issue of cold floors and draughts.
So effectively there is a risk of expending increased energy and fuel costs whilst not really achieving the benefit of real warmth and cosiness.
WHY COLD FLOORS AND DRAUGHTS?
All park homes have a regulatory requirement of a 25 mm gap between the skirting of the home and the actual sub frame of the home. The gap is required to disperse trapped gases under the home that might arise from any faulty gas fitting.
As modern day homes are generally fitted with a brick skirting it is important that moisture is not transferred from the bricks to the fabrics of the home. The minimum 25mm gap prevents this form happening.
But what this gap also does is allow movement of air underneath the home. This constant airflow however, is the culprit for cold floors and unwanted draughts throughout the home.
Current insulation standards for park homes is relatively poor compared to traditional brick built homes. The BS3632 regulations require an R value of 0.5 should be achieved for floors in park homes. Although modern day homes are manufactured with this minimum level of insulation, it still often does not create the desired warmth for many.
THE PHCS UNDER FLOOR INSULATION SYSTEM – BESPOKE TO YOUR HOME!
Every home is different and PHCS treats every home individually. We will always survey the under side of your home before recommending the best system for you.
The system utilises closed cell polyurethane spray foam or a combination of spray foam and insulation boarding.
The PHCS under floor insulation system offers up to 8 times more insulating value than normal insulating materials used on park homes.
Where traditional insulating materials are rolled, cut and fixed into place, the PHCS under floor insulation system eliminates any seams or gaps to prevent cold or draughts penetrating the flooring.
The system adds greater solidity and stability to the home and dampens noise levels.
Plus, as often the insulation system will be applied over the existing insulation, the insulation effect is multiplied. Added warmth!
All work comes with a 10 year guarantee.
